Cunetto House of Pasta

5453 Magnolia Ave.

St. Louis, MO 63139

Cunetto House of Pasta is located in the heart of “The Hill” in St. Louis.   We arrived around 5:30 on a Saturday night.  Cunetto’s does not take reservations so we had to wait for an hour to be seated.  It was not a bad wait, there were tables outside available to sit and have a drink.  There was also a bar inside where they had cocktail waitresses serving drinks.  Once we had our table the service was very quick.

I had the toasted raviolis, house salad, and the fettuccini carbonara.  The toasted raviolis were just like any other toasted raviolis around St. Louis, but the meat sauce that came along with them was great.  The house salad was very good it had a house Italian dressing and was covered in prosciutto and fresh parmesan cheese, not the powder kind.  The best part was the Fettuccini Carbonara.  This was a ton of fettuccini pasta covered in a cream sauce and prosciutto.  The cream sauce was terrific.  It was buttery and creamy at the same time.  Since there was so much food the fettuccini was even better the next day.  I also had Linguini Tuto Mare.  This was a pile of linguine mixed with a butter sauce, crab, shrimp, clams, and shrimp.  This would be a seafood lovers dream.  The Tuto Mare is good, but I suggest ordering the Fettuccini Carbonara.

Prices:  Prices were not bad for what we had.  We had an appetizer , four beers, two salads, and two dishes of pasta, all for $50.  I recommend going to this place.  I can’t wait to go back again.
