P’sghetti’s Pasta and Sandwiches Phone: 314-849-5334 3340 Lindbergh Blvd St. Louis, MO 63123 Psghetti’s Pasta and Sandwiches is a small family place in South County. They are best known for their bread that has a little sweetness to it. It is different but it makes their sandwiches and garlic bread taste so good. This place has all of the Italian pasta favorites from, spaghetti, mostaccioli, garlic bread. In addition to those they also have pizza bread, roast beef sandwiches, sub sandwiches, toasted raviolis, and much more. P’sghetti’s is a place where you order at the counter and then they will call your number when your food is ready. I ordered the hot roast beef sandwich with a side of au jus. The bread makes this sandwich unlike any other roast beef sandwich. The sandwich is very cheesy and very good.
Prices: Prices are reasonable for the food you get. An order of pasta is less than five dollars and you can get a side of garlic bread for a couple of bucks. I recommend going to P’sghetti’s and getting something with the bread. |

Qdoba Mexican Grill—Multiple Locations, Find Location
Qdoba is like a Mexican Subway. Pick your burrito, tacos or nachos and pick the toppings to go on it. It is a good place to go and grab a quick burrito when you are short on time. The burritos are huge. Qdoba has very good burritos and great queso cheese dip. The best thing to do is to get the queso on the burrito. I like the queso burrito with chicken. I went back again and got the shredded beef queso burrito. They are both very good. The shredded beef is tender and something different than just getting chicken. The nachos always look good. Next time I go back I am going to get the nachos.
Prices: I ordered a shredded beef queso burrito and a drink for around $8. |

St. Louis Bread Company—Multiple Locations
The St. Louis Bread Co. has grown tremendously over the past 6 years or so, and they have become annoyingly big. Service has suffered, prices have risen and I can hardly find a place to sit at lunch time. I remember when I could place a special order and they would not mess anything up, now it is a rarity when I place a special order and something is not messed up. I also remember when two people could eat at The St. Louis Bread Co. and it would cost under $12, now it is hard for two people to eat there and it cost under $20. |

SoCo’s Deli and Gyros Phone number: 314-843-7900 5530 S. Lindbergh Blvd St. Louis MO, 63123 This deli offers all of the sandwiches that you would expect from a deli. This place offers chicken, turkey, roast beef and gyros. You can get a sandwich or a wrap. I went with the Italian beef. The sandwich was good, not great. It could of used some more cheese. I also tasted the Philly beef. It was the same as the Italian beef but without the banana peppers. The sandwiches were $5.50 and a salad was $1.70. It is a pretty good deal for a sandwich. Next time I will get the Gyro and let you know if they should include the Gyro in their name or not. |

Steak ‘n Shake—Multiple Locations Steak n Shake does not want to be considered as a fast food restaurant, but if you have a drive through, it is fast food. Steak n Shake’s motto is “Famous for Steakburgers”. The steak burger is pretty good but not as good as Culver’s. Steak n Shake has great chili, and they have those unique fries that are really skinny. Steak n Shake is a good place to go and get some hearty food. Prices are reasonable. I ordered the cheeseburger platter and it cost around $6. I recommend going there. |

Schottzie’s Phone number: 314-842-7244 11428 Concord Village Ave St. Louis, MO 63123
Shotzie’s is a small little bar situated between Lin Ferry and Lindbergh. This place is always packed with people all day long. This place is a local place that serves good food and cold beer. This place has some of the best St. Louis style pizza around. This sauce is sweet and it is very cheesy. This place has a huge menu filled with all of the fried bar favorites, to home style foods like country fried steak and mashed potatoes. This is a definite recommendation to go and get their pizza. It might be the best in St. Louis. |

White Castle—Multiple Locations White Castle’s is one of St. Louis’ gems. What a great place to eat at any time of the day or night. It was about two o’clock in the morning, and we drove through White Castle. There is nothing better than their little jalapeno cheeseburgers and chicken rings with cheese at two in the morning. This was after a night of drinking at the baseball game and then drinking some more at a bar. Good thing I didn’t drive. There are only a limited number of restaurants that will hit the spot under these circumstances and White Castle is one of them. White Castle has some of the best drunk food ever. And the thing that is different about White Castle’s drunk food is that it still taste delicious when you are not drunk. For example, Eat Right has some of the best food at three in the morning, but there is no way I would set food in that place in daylight. The little White Castle hamburger is so tender and good it is like no other hamburger I have ever tasted. The menu has a ton of good food listed on it. Usually when I go to a place to eat I stick to one or two things, but at White Castle I can’t ever make up my mind. They have hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fish sandwiches, fish nibblers, chicken rings, cheese sticks, and more. We are lucky here in St. Louis because we are blessed with so many White Castles. If you go about 120 miles west to Columbia, Missouri you can’t find one anywhere. This is a disgrace because when I would go down there to visit I would get hammered and I would want some White Castle’s and I would always be disapointed by some place I would end up eating. Prices: Around 55-70 cents for a hamburger or cheeseburger. $2.50 for some chicken rings with cheese. Prices are very cheap. |
