I went to Hodak's for a wedding rehearsal dinner.  We had the rehearsal dinner in the upstairs banquet room, which was quite nice.  There were about 25 people that attended the event and there was more than enough room for everyone.  The room had a bar in it and the drinks were flowing all night.  The bartender made a good bloody mary and it included a celery stalk and a pickle.

The food was buffet style with Hodak's famous fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes and salad.  All of the food was very good.  This was my first time having the fried chicken and it was very good.  I can see why they are famous for fried chicken in the St. Louis area.  The mashed potatoes are also worth recognizing as they were good as well.

If you are looking for some good fried chicken in the St. Louis area then check out Hodak's in South City.

Sage Urban American Grill was a great spot for a wedding rehearsal dinner.  Sage is located in Soulard right next to the Brewery.  The private room was upstairs away from the main floor dining room.  The room was very nice with a private bar and a private patio.  The wedding rehearsal dinner was on a Friday night in June and it was beautiful night to enjoy the private patio.

The food at Sage was great.  They had some appetizers laid out to munch on before dinner.  You get to pick between a few dinner entrées, like you do at most rehearsal dinners.  I chose the steak and it was delicious.  Overall this was a very nice and somewhat different place to have a wedding rehearsal dinner in St. Louis
