Places to Eat in Washington, Missouri

Marquart’s Landing

300 W. Front St.

Washington, MO 63090

This small little bar and grill has great cheep food.  I got the ribeye steak sandwich.  It was very good for the $6.99 I paid for it.  The prices only went down from there.  This place looks like it would be a fun spot to go at night.

Cowan’s Restaurant

114  Elm Street

Washington, MO 63090

This restaurant had a diner type feel.  It looks like a local small town hotspot.  Maybe my hopes are to high for places like this, but I was not fully satisfied.  I had the open faced roast beef sandwich covered in gravy and a side of mashed potatoes.  The roast beef tasted ordinary, and I expected some potato chunks in my mashed potatoes.  I would eat here again, and I would order the country fried steak.  Prices are $5-8.
